Book Review: Sweet Tooth

We just finished Sweet Tooth for book club, Ian McEwan’s newest novel. I really wanted to like it. The premise of a cold war era spy working in the literary circles of London sounded promising, but I was sad to find myself struggling to stay interested. Too many names, and nothing ever seemed to happen!

There are some lovely embedded short stories, but unless you want to dedicate some solid chunks of time to winding through this world of pseudo spies and semi traitors, you might want to look elsewhere for your James Bond fix.
